This should give you a sensible week of edibles, I have gone for one night of ready-mealness (i.e. fishcakes and no recipe is included because literally all you would do would be put them in the oven and use some of the salad or peas from the freezer)

All of the dinners take much less than 1 hour to cook and most under half an hour. The shopping list costs £33.54 for the week (from Tesco) without the store cupboard ingredients. If you need to buy these too (including whole packs of pasta/butter/olive oil etc.) it will be £42.89 if you add the booze too it will be about £55.00.

Sunday Roast Chicken (time to prepare – 1.5 hours)

Monday Chicken Pie (time to prepare 30 mins)

Tuesday Spanish Omlette   (time to prepare 30 mins)

Wednesday Fish Cakes & Salad  (time to prepare 5 mins)

Thursday  Roast Veg & Chorizo Risotto (time to prepare 45 mins)

Friday Ravioli with Sage & Tomato Butter (time to prepare 10 mins)

Saturday Hangover Eggs (time to prepare 10 mins)

Saturday Courgette Carbonara (time to prepare 15 mins)

 

Shopping List

Meat / Fish

  • 1 Chicken whole
  • 1 packet  of bacon / pancetta
  • 1 chorizo
  • 2 packets of fishcakes (nice ones)

Vegetables / herbs

  • 1 big bag of potatoes
  • 1 leek
  • 2 packs of green beans
  • 1 pack chestnut mushrooms
  • 1 courgette
  • 2 onions
  • 2 red pepper
  • 1 small pack parsley
  • 1 small pack of sage
  • 1 pack cherry tomatoes
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 bag of rocket

Baking / Dairy

  • 1 packet – all butter puff pastry
  • 1 six pack eggs
  • 1 small tub creme fraiche
  • 1 pack Parmesan

Dry Ingredients

  • Fresh Pasta – Ravioli (filled with some cheese)

Storecupboard  – you might already have these

  • Chicken gravy granules
  • Chicken stockcubes
  • Marsala
  • Plain flour
  • Dried thyme
  • Frozen peas
  • Garlic
  • Butter
  • Arborio rice
  • White wine
  • Olive oil
  • Penne
